Deep in a hidden Te Tai Tokerau/Northland valley, where a winding river meets ancient forest, something extraordinary is waking up for the eleventh time.
From 5th to 8th February 2027, a quiet working farm near Nukutawhiti becomes Dimension: Origins Edition, four days that call us all the way back to the roots of Aotearoa’s psychedelic festival culture. Eleven summers of dancing under those stars have brought us here, and after a decade of growing outwards, this is the year the festival turns back towards where it started. A gathering of this kind does not simply rise out of the soil. It is woven together, thread by glowing thread, by a community of relentless dreamers, visionary artists and tireless makers who pour their souls into turning an empty paddock into a living, breathing sanctuary.
A World Where The Edges Dissolve
If you have never set foot on these grounds, picture a place where the usual rules quietly dissolve. Towering UV-reactive installations stretch up towards the canopy, painted with intricate mandalas and sacred geometry that seem to breathe once the stars come out. The chest-deep bass of the custom Opus rig becomes a shared heartbeat, carrying you from rolling psytrance and progressive grooves into those euphoric sunrise sessions that nobody ever quite manages to describe afterwards.
A party ends when the music stops. This is something closer to a village that exists for four days only, where nobody is performing, everybody is welcome, and the land is left exactly as it was found.

Origins: One Fire, One Valley
Season by season, this festival has grown. Origins Edition is a deliberate step back towards the beginning of it all. Dimension 2027 moves to a single-stage format centred entirely on the Astral Arena, with one connected campground and numbers capped at just 1,000 people, the most intimate the festival has ever been.
One dancefloor from open to close. One rhythm carrying the whole weekend. The music runs deep into each night and lifts again before the day has properly started, a single continuous thread holding everything together. Nobody is torn between stages, and nobody misses the moment everyone will be talking about for the next twelve months.
Between sets, the valley offers its own kind of programme. Swim in the river, find a shaded corner with strangers who will not stay strangers for long, share food, and move at whatever pace the weekend asks of you.
The Hands Behind The Magic
The feeling you get on that dancefloor is the result of months, and often years, of unseen collaboration. This year the spirit of unity is especially palpable, with an extraordinary convergence of talent all pulling in the same direction.
Stage builders hammer away in the summer heat. Fine artists paint cosmic landscapes onto solid black boards. Underground electronic producers finish tracks written for this valley and no other, while technical architects build the invisible digital frameworks that keep everything running without a hitch. Every one of them is a load-bearing pillar of this reality.
To the volunteers digging in the dirt, the flow-arts performers rehearsing until dawn, the sound engineers tuning those enormous rigs and the local vendors preparing to feed us all: thank you. Thank you for the lost sleep, for the boundless creativity, and for believing so fiercely in what a group of people can build together. Your energy is the alchemy that turns a farm into a life-changing adventure.
The Portal Is Open
Dimension: Origins Edition is shaping up to be tighter, more immersive and more deeply psychedelic than anything that has come before it. Stripped back to its essentials and shared with a thousand people rather than a crowd, it promises the version of this festival that longtime family have been quietly hoping for.
For those returning, welcome home. And for anyone yet to take the leap into the valley, the portal is open. Four days, one arena, one river, and a community of beautiful, vibrant souls already waiting to dance with you under the Te Tai Tokerau/Northland sky.
Numbers are capped, tickets are limited by design, and the valley will fill.
