Today we’ve got our New Psy-Trance Spotlight it’s a chance to explore something new. We’re going to break a few tracks down for you here. You can download the music by following the links below!

Goajira Records is a newcomer to the scene. It’s debut release on 16 October 2024 with Atems – Galactic Frequency. Founded in 2023 by DJ Muisca, DJane K and Vasthy Najera. Based in Brooklyn, New York. The label’s mission statement is to elevate psychedelic culture by tapping into the vibrant Columbian culture. So far only three releases have come out on here – each with an awesome “name your price” sticker on them. Each release has been stocked with groovy, churning, mind-melting explorations, done in an intelligent, techy fashion. Don’t be shy to donate generously here and support this high quality output. Today I will go through my favourite tracks released on the Primordial Rhythms compilation just released on 19th March

Dezzert – Within The Rhythm

This beauty kicks off with a smooth classic guitar riff, melodic and captivating. Combined with some winding, space ship taking off, warp drive sounds, this soon leads into the drop, which is smooth, ethereal, and energetic. As the melodic lines drop away bar by bar, this tune evolves into a powerful dance floor mind game, with classic 00’s trance synths and a chanted pad. The second drop at around the 4:20 mark takes things deeper, exploring the more twisted, energetic ends of the spectrum. This is a perfect morning track to get tired ravers back onto the dance floor by infusing them with this melodic masterpiece.

Nyatma – Pulsacao

This forestey explorer is excellent for a night time set. Plenty of twists and turns, stops and starts throughout this rollercoaster ride. Instinctually layered atmospheres, creeping tendrils of sound running throughout, panning across your interior landscape. Bleeps, bloops, meeps, moops, over a flawlessly arranged rhythm section. The mysterious, moody progressions, take you deep into the night.

Garnet – Nature Is Speaking

This is probably my favourite track on the compilation. Set around an absolutely amazing speech by “Mother Nature” herself. Some incredibly powerful lines to contemplate throughout. This churning, yet melodic and contemplative tune could work at a few different times of the day, or night, whenever a touch of deep contemplation is needed on the dance floor.

Martian Little Bastards – Pluton Eats

This is an absolute cracker of a forest tune. A creepy children’s nursery rhyme to begin this experience, before things take a turn and the drop reveals a driving, captivating ride. Full of the weird sounds of a hidden, private forest on the mad world of mad max. Featuring one of my favourite ever sounds on a psy trance trance, it is sort of like a wooden, creaking saxophone? The little girl who bids you “don’t be scared, come play with me, don’t run away or we’ll kill you-is absolutely terrifying and perfect to fill the break before the serious second drop hits. The second half of the track is a lot busier with a call and response occurring between a whole rack of synthesisers. A sure fire night time fire starter.
