Rhythm Beneath The Trees: Aotearoa’s Psychedelic Summer Begins.

As Tama-nui-te-rฤ (the great son of the sun) begins his slow stretch over Aotearoa, heat spills across the land – and with it, a rising pulse of electric anticipation. This Labour Weekend (25โ€“28 October 2025), we ignite the Aotearoa Summer Festival Season with many psychedelic gatherings that lift the vibration through music, dance, connection, and creative expression. Here are three gatherings taking place in Te Ika-a-Mฤui (North Island) that will bring us all together and keep us dancing into the sun.

Lubble – 25th – 26th October โ€“ An intimate, one night, gathering set on a stunning rural property in the trippy hills of Waipu, Northland, Lubble has been raving strong for many years, celebrating the beginning of the festival season over Labour Weekend and end of the season over Easter Weekend (Watch This Space). This genre-fluid celebration brings together boundary pushing performers and artists to co-create an experience that keeps you dancing until sunrise. Octoblast – 24th – 27th October โ€“ kicks off the season in true trippy style with three nights of music, raving, and deep connection. Set on an energy-rich dancefloor nestled within the mystical Ngahere (forest) of Te Arai, just one hour north of Auckland, this festival is hosted by the magicians of Audio Art. Aaranya – 25th – 27th October โ€“ Team Moksha brings their signature Parvati Valley-style party to a magical location near Masterton, Wairarapa, for two nights and three days of psychedelic celebration. This festival features a stunning line-up of local and international psychedelic performers and artists, all pumping on a Tubs Audio sound system thatโ€™ll shake the Ngahere floor and elevate the collective frequency.
