Somewhere out past the last planet, a band of mushrooms has set up on a patch of grass and started jamming. There’s one on keys under a purple cap, another going hard on the congas, and a red-topped shroom with a rainbow coming out of its head who is clearly having the best night of anyone. That’s the scene printed around the legs of these pants, and honestly, it’s the same scene as most of our Saturday nights.

The cut is a proper drop-crotch harem: deep and roomy through the seat and thigh, then pulled in tight at the ankle by elasticated cuffs. It means you get full airflow and zero restriction when the set goes off, without any loose fabric flapping around your feet. The waist is elasticated with a drawstring, so you can pull them in as snug as you like and forget about them for the next twelve hours.

Above the band scene, the whole lower half fades up into deep space: multicoloured planets, scattered stars and a black base that hides absolutely everything a festival weekend throws at it. There are side pockets too, which anyone who has ever tried to keep hold of a phone in a crowd will appreciate.
