Big Miz Presents Friends FM EP
Big Miz is a veteran of the dance music collective. Bursting onto the scene on Glasgow’s very own Dixon Avenue Basement Jams with a vinyl only release of Midnight Man Handle. A deep, jacking, acid drenched journey over murky, pounding 4×4 kicks, transporting the listener to the underground immediately. Now a sought after classic, this record is on the top of my shopping list. There are vinyl rip digital copies available by this point of course.
The Friends FM EP is Big Miz’s third outing on the Shall Not Fade label. It is a collaboration with three producers- Bessa, Hayley Zalassi and Van Damn. The first track with Bessa, “It just goes” is a vibrant, piano driven number, with a contagious and uplifting baseline. The delightful “murder…it is wrong” sample is absolutely delicious. The 303 styled lead that comes in at the 2.30 mark is a balm for the soul. Progressive as anything I’ve heard in years, full of good vibrations, this for sure is my favourite track on the release. DJ’s- makes sure to play this one through till the very last drop, it keeps growing the entire time! The rest of this fresh release is full of positive and vibe driven sunshine classics. Real Name: Alexander Dmitriev. Bop is a dance music legend. Drum & Bass and UK Garage Producer from St. Petersburg, Russia. Owner Of Microfunk Music. It is his first outing on Shall Not Fade. This release is full of lush, bass driven cuts. That are a sure to grab your heart strings. Favourite track All My Hell. WIth a delightful vocal floating over the the dreamy leads cushioning the driving bassline and relentless kicks. The second drop after the midway build is tough as nails and gets the vocal return in full force, slowly building into a euphoric return of the appegiated lead. An absolute treat for the ears. Don’t let me spoil the storyline for you completely. Do yourself a favour and pick up one of the limited copies today, you do not want to miss out on this one!
